My name is Aimee Rossini. I have been a Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2012. From a young age, I knew something wasn’t right. I started thyroid medication when I was just 16 years old, battling symptoms like irregular bowel movements, extreme fatigue, and thinning hair. At the time, I didn’t realize these were all connected to my thyroid. It wasn’t until I was 23 that things took a sudden turn with the onset of double vision. After countless tests, including bloodwork, an MRI, and visits to various specialists, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s – but with no education or guidance on what that meant for my life.
As I moved through my 20's and early 30's, my symptoms worsened, I even had to undergo two separate eye surgeries to realign my eyes due to the effects of Hashimoto’s. The crushing fatigue and other symptoms were unbearable, and I realized that I couldn’t continue down this path.
I decided to dig deeper into the root causes of Hashimoto’s and how it was affecting my body. I committed to healing the damage I had done over the course of 20 years. I started a regular exercise routine, paid closer attention to my nutrition, and prioritized my mental health and stress management. And all the while, I continued taking my thyroid medication.
Today, I’m living proof that it’s possible to reclaim your health. I now enjoy more energy, regular bowel movements, and thicker, fuller hair – things I never thought I’d experience again.
That’s why I created Fighting Hashimoto’s. I want to share everything I’ve learned to help others with Hashimoto’s live their best, healthiest lives. It’s possible to feel better, to regain control, and to live with vitality. And I’m here to help you every step of the way.
"I just started and my win is that I already feel healthier! I'm amazed that I feel better already. I am following the meal plan and enjoying the recipes. I feel lighter, less bloated, and already have more energy."
“Aimee came into my life earlier this year while I was suffering from an aggressive form of septic arthritis in my SI joint.
I have a medical background, but this was something beyond my comprehension of understanding.
It was painful, overwhelming and doctors had very little answers as to how this happened and what the outcome would be and...
I felt very defeated.
AIMEE CHANGED ALL OF THAT.
Beyond being extremely kind and compassionate, she was confident that she could get me walking again, and she was my saving grace helping me understand my complex diagnosis.
Aimee not only helped me, she taught me about what was happening to me which…
Gave me confidence
that I could actually heal from this and get back to my normal life when no one else had answers.
I definitely looked forward to every visit knowing she was going to guide me get better
BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY!
I am beyond thankful that I was lucky enough to have her on my health journey.”
“I just wanted to reach out to you, and let you know how grateful my Mom and I felt to have you.
You were so knowledgeable explaining in depth how Parkinson’s disease affects the patient in a way that no one else had.
My Mom always looked forward to your sessions.
She knew if there was anything she was struggling with, you would have a solution to help.”
